My RV came “solar ready” but I needed to add several components to complete the system, including two OWL batteries. They have been in place for over a year now and still going strong. This setup has really helped for off grid camping or just having plenty of AC power when we stop for lunch along the road.
Although I’m still waiting on my 48 volt charger and adapter cable, everything went fine. I do understand the shipping delays.

First of all shipping was really fast, the batteries arrived a day earlier then expected. exterior packaging was heavily damaged from shipping, but due to the very well done interior package protection, no damage was observed to the batteries themselves. Being very new to this battery technology, I was a bit unsure about connecting to my existing system, but everything seems to be working OK. The claim about charging 5 times faster than conventional, does not seem to be working out for me. maybe twice as fast would be more accurate. I have not had a chance to test them for solar charging as we are in the dead of winter and we have yet to have enough sunlight to make a difference. It is too early to say how they will perform long term, but they are OK at the moment, but the claim was that these batteries should be compatible with the system I got and they do not quite meet my expectations, so I can't give them a five star rating yet. I am new to this technology so it is a learning process. Cost was very reasonable and with free shipping and ten year warranty, I am hopeful that I made the right choice, To be determined.

I bought a solar trailer from Big Battery and couldn't be more thrilled with the product or the team. I picked it up on site and they were friendly, helpful, and got me set up and on the road. The trailer is now the power hub for my off-grid site and is performing beautifully.
I got 5 of the 24V HAWK - LiFePo4 - 170Ah - 4.3kWh to take advantage of the free shipping - substantial savings on these heavy items. This model was still a manageable size, and the driver had no trouble getting these off the UPS truck by hand. They are exceedingly well packed and arrived in perfect shape. These replace a giiiiiaaaant bank of lead acid batteries at my home, and should hold us for a week with no sun or grid power.
I got good support from the people at BigBattery; when UPS said there was an issue with the shipment - BigBattery handled all the communications and took care of it all. painless!
I finally got my hands on the NEW Big Battery Eagl 48v Lithium battery kit. These batteries are super small and will fit most golf carts with little to no modifications. Since 4 will give 120ah of capacity, I got a range test done with these batteries and they are perfect as they described!
Amazing product, amazing people! The best follow up from a company I could ever hope for! This was a big deal for me to spend this kind of money on a couple batteries, $3000. But they are the best batteries and value in the business. Check out YouTube reviews. Sorry to hear the gentleman who gave a 1 star review had a two month less than ideal experience. I believe him, but it’s hard. Stuff happens. But not hearing from them is nothing I would expect. Their follow up on my order was extraordinary. It’s as if they knew how big a deal $3000 was to me.

I bought two hawk max batteries 24 volt - been using them non stop for the last two months running most of my condo- i have these batteries paired with the Victron inverter/charger and 4 Victroncharge controllers - No issues at all and with the sunny weather, my solar keeps them charged. in fact I only had to use my charger 4 times in 3 weeks due to rainy weather. I like the built in battery meter, fuse and on/off button (saves you money) - the built in battery meter matches the Victron battery meter spot on.
Great batteries! I got one of the new kits, and everything was packaged nicely and I put it in my mid-size RV and it's great. It's all connected to solar panels on top and the inverter goes right to my phone so I literally haven't opened my battery compartment since I installed them. Great stuff, I'll probably get more for a cabin project coming up.

Bigbattery has the lowest price (per kWh) off grid solar batteries around. I own 4 of the 24V hawks and they have been golden. Customer service was easy to deal with and the shipping/packing was excellent as well. I wasn't excited about the Anderson connectors at first but after using them for a while, I have to say that I will NOT be going back to the lugs. Anderson connectors are way easier to work with. Oh yea and the fire suppressor that is built into some of the new models is also a great safety feature that I haven't seen anywhere else. Great value for your dollar!
