My RV came “solar ready” but I needed to add several components to complete the system, including two OWL batteries. They have been in place for over a year now and still going strong. This setup has really helped for off grid camping or just having plenty of AC power when we stop for lunch along the road.
Although I’m still waiting on my 48 volt charger and adapter cable, everything went fine. I do understand the shipping delays.

First of all shipping was really fast, the batteries arrived a day earlier then expected. exterior packaging was heavily damaged from shipping, but due to the very well done interior package protection, no damage was observed to the batteries themselves. Being very new to this battery technology, I was a bit unsure about connecting to my existing system, but everything seems to be working OK. The claim about charging 5 times faster than conventional, does not seem to be working out for me. maybe twice as fast would be more accurate. I have not had a chance to test them for solar charging as we are in the dead of winter and we have yet to have enough sunlight to make a difference. It is too early to say how they will perform long term, but they are OK at the moment, but the claim was that these batteries should be compatible with the system I got and they do not quite meet my expectations, so I can't give them a five star rating yet. I am new to this technology so it is a learning process. Cost was very reasonable and with free shipping and ten year warranty, I am hopeful that I made the right choice, To be determined.

I bought a solar trailer from Big Battery and couldn't be more thrilled with the product or the team. I picked it up on site and they were friendly, helpful, and got me set up and on the road. The trailer is now the power hub for my off-grid site and is performing beautifully.
